Down here in Arizona the nectar can go bad in just a few days, So cleaning easily is a must. This is ht ebest for that that i have found. By the way don't use anything but reverse osmosis water and pure sugar NO coloring! I find the ratio of 1/4 cup sugar and 8 oz. of water is good.

I have a lot of hummers - I go through about 2 gallons of nectar a day this time of year. I have 5 of these in different sizes and they're my favorite feeders - and the hummingbirds' favorites as well. They are much easier to clean and fill than any other feeder (and I've tried them all) so I'd highly recommend them! For the reviewer who wanted a bigger one - they come in a quart size too. (There is also a 72-oz one, but the bottle is plastic and I wouldn't recommend it.)

We have had this one feeder for over 7 years.
Not one of the many hummers has died drinking from it, we don't think it's dangerous.
The ring allow them to rest.
We have found the glass to be more effective than other plastic styles
which tend to make the nectar cloudy.
The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the smaller size.
