You fill this whimsical upside down parasol with water so ants cannot pass even when they find the tree with the feeder. And the Hummers make derisive comments from the below. Regrettably, Amazon does not carry the Parasol Ant Moat directly, so the color currently here is limited to red. Since most hummingbird feeders I own, Hummingbird Feeder - Ruby Red, or have seen have attractive red or yellow flowers for the feeding site, the red matches nicely. My neighbor has an elegant, flat black that goes well with feeders too. Red or black, this is a delightful solution even when you don't yet have a problem. And I like that they are not made of plastic, but metal.
