Summary: Best Squirrel-Proof Feeder Available 2009-01-05
Comment: I bought one of these feeders for myself about 5 years ago, and it is the best squirrel-proof feeder that I have found. Exceptionally talented squirrels can jump horizontally into the narrow space between the roof and tray, but only if it is quite close to a tree or wall. Most squirrels crash a few times and then make due cleaning up what the birds dump on the ground. They can't access it by coming down the chain from above. The feeder also holds so much seed (about 6-7 lbs.) that you don't need to refill it often. I love this feeder and recently purchased a second one as a gift. You'll make up the cost in saved seed within a few months.

Summary: Good Feeder with One Flaw 2008-07-31
Comment: I have had a couple of these feeders and they are wonderful for repelling rain and squirrels (if mounted properly). The big flaw is the plastic is not very tough and, if the feeder falls to the ground, it usually shatters. I have put more than one back together with duct tape, but I would love to see this type of feeder made with a bit sturdier construction material.

Summary: Not Durable 2007-12-30
Comment: 3 days after I received it the wind knocked it off the chain and it fell to the ground and shattered! I guess $60 dosen't buy unbreakable plastic.

Summary: Great Bird Feeder 2007-07-25
Comment: We had a feeder like this for many years until my husband dropped it and it shattered from age. I immediately sent for another. It holds alot of seed, is protected from rain by the lid. The birds love it and the squirrels cannot get to it. It really works. It's a great product!

Summary: The birds love it! 2006-03-26
Comment: I placed the bird feeder off my deck, which is high enough so I can see it from my sunroom. There have been lots of birds use it, and in all our rain the food has not gotten wet.
I'm anticipating that the construction will be such to last for many years.
