Summary: Great feeder for goldfinches, pine siskins and other clinging birds 2007-06-29
Comment: This is an excellent feeder and will attract clinging birds like goldfinches, pine siskins and finches. It allows for lots of feeding because there are no perches and finches love to cling. It has added advantage of discouraging larger birds because they have no place to perch. Easy to fill. Well made and comes with a lifetime guarantee. Use with nyjer or thistle seed. This feeder is the larger size and will hold approximately four cups of seed. The smaller version is Aspects Nyjer Mesh Finch Feeder

Comment: This feeder is the smaller of two mesh feeders made by Aspects. It is an excellent product. The top is easy to lift for filling. Goldfinches, siskins and other birds love to cling and feed and this is a fun and active feeder. It also has the advantage of discouraging non-clinging birds because there are no perches. If you have goldfinches and the like in your area, they will love this feeder and you're likely to see dozens hanging onto it and feeding. This feeder holds a little over 3 cups. Comes with a lifetime guarantee. The larger feeder of the same type isAspects Nyjer Mesh Finch Feeder. Best used with nyjer or thistle seed although you can also use shelled sunflower seed. Don't use mixed or sunflower seeds with this feeder.

Summary: Perfect Goldfinch feeder 2007-06-07
Comment: Fill this with nyjer seed and then sit back - I've counted 12 Goldfinches feeding from mine at once, with more waiting their turn. WAY better than the mesh socks which quickly turn very ugly, this is a great feeder of high quality. Just be prepared to buy BIG bags of seed because you'll be very popular with the finch crowd once they discover it.
