For best results, use the Perky-Pet™ Instant nectar. This specially blended nectar is easy to use, and requires no boiling. The feeder may be cleaned with the Perky-Pet™ Cleaning Mop. Remember to clean your feeder at least twice a week, more often in very warm climates or seasons.

I've had this feeder for over six months and it is holding up very well. It is easy to clean, and the neighborhood hummingbirds fight over it all of the time, so it must be a hit with them. The feeder holds about a cup and a half of liquid max, which is just right for changing it every few days but not contstantly. The only drawback is that occasionally a larger bird like a flicker will hang off of the ring around the feeder and steal a drink. Amazingly enough, if it's screwed down tightly, it doesn't leak much even when it's hanging all crooked under the bigger bird's weight.

My mom loves her hummingbirds too, and she asked me where I got this feeder, because she wants one too! Overall, I'd say it is a cheerful addition to my patio.
