Bird Feeder Inserts, 3 Pk

I have had my Hyde birdfeeder for nearly 30 years, so you can image the condition of the plastic inserts. They were completely discolored and very brittle. In fact, they were rapidly falling apart. I thought I would have to replace the whole feeder, and that was what I was searching for - a new feeder. And then I began wondering if maybe I could just buy the plastic inserts, and boy am I glad I had that thought! A new birdfeeder like mine would have cost me $85 and for just a fraction of that, my feeder is just like brand new!! The Ozbo inserts arrived quickly and fit perfectly and I couldn't be more pleased.

I'm very happy with the replacement feeder inserts. They're well constructed and fit together snug and perfectly into the feeder. They also incorporate a new design that works without modification of the old feeder. There are aluminum dividers that fit between the chambers and a central tube which runs down the middle of the assembly allowing seed to be refilled into just the two lower chambers. This makes it possible to load a different seed in the top chamber. I've got sunflower seed in the bottom chambers and thistle seed in the top. I find this central tube design a handy improvement. Even better, you have the option to assemble the three chambers without the dividers or tube. This allows you to use the assembly like the original design as one tall seed chamber.

Since this is a replacement part of a "squirrel proof" bird feeder, I should mention that I don't consider this feeder squirrel "proof". "Squirrel limiting" is a better term. Squirrels can get their noses...Read more

The plastic inserts have made this favorite feeder fully functionable again. The feeder itself is at least 10 years old but the plastic inserts had begun to break. Like new again.
