My sister and husband had been looking for a birdhouse like this for years. ( We had given them one years ago which we had had made for them. The wood worker we used had since died and theirs had finally bit the dust after many seasons of use!) After searching far and wide we found this one on the Amazon site. It has a nice big hopper and easily cleaned. It can be easily attached to a pole. The side panels are glass so you can see how much seed is left. The lip is quite big enough for all the birds to sit on! It was a slightly smaller replica of the "ideal" bird house! Needless to say it was a big hit at Christmas.
