Comment: I bought this bird feeder mainly to provide a source of constant stimulus for my solitary cat while I'm at work. It does do that. The birds love it and the cat loves it.
However...
1. Even though my window fit the size described by the manufacturer I had to rig up my own insulation because theirs did not adequately cover the gapping hole left on the side of the feeder.
2. The instructions would be dramatically improved by the use of pictures.
3. The manufacturer states that the feeder holds 2 quarts of feed. This is only true if you count the seed that spills over into the windowsill.
4. The birds tend to push the seed up to the mirror as they're picking through it, which means that when you open the feeder to add more seed some seed spills into your house. Seed also tends to get stuck in the channel where you open the feeder necessitating a vacuum to clean it out so that it properly closes again.
A few extra tips:
*The window does not close and lock with this model. If you are worried about security or young children playing by the window, choose a different model.
*Although the feeder itself is easy enough to move, most of the insulating materials are single use only so be sure you know which window you want to use.
*If you use a mixed seed you can watch the birds pick through the seed until they find what they want. It's pretty entertaining.
