I have 2 hummingbird feeders that hang in different areas of our garden. One hangs from the branch of a birch tree near our kitchen window. The other hangs from a hook outside of our dining room door (so we can watch the little guys feed). All kinds of dirt and rain water used to get on top of and in the feeder. With the "Birdie Umbrella", the food stays clean longer and makes the feeder easier to clean.
