I purchased this feeder to keep the Bluejays from robbing the squirrel feeder. The Jays love it because they can simply pull peanuts quickly out, however it is very difficult to fill. It takes too much time to fill and the peanuts will fall out on the ground at first, more than they go into the feeder. I only take time to fill it once a day, otherwise the Jays are still robbing the squirrel feeder. I believe if it had a larger area at the top for filling, it would be a much better feeder. Also it needs to have a flat bottom instead of the raised one, because it rolls the peanuts out when filling. If only BlueJays are being fed (and good luck with that), then it would be a good choice. I would not purchase another one and probably would not recommend it.
