Birdscapes® 151 The Metal Twist Feeder, 2 lb capacity

The brilliant spiral tube design allows this tube feeder to hold three different seed mixes, about 1-1/2 cups of each, to attract the most variety of vistors. Like most tube feeders, the perches are short by design, to encourage small birds to visit. So far, it's a hit! Larger birds like cardinals and jays will not be able to hang on, but they will pick up the crumbs on the ground below.

I don't see any screw for attaching an accessory seed tray (dish) to the bottom of the feeder. However, a clear 6" plastic plate (the kind for picnics and birthday cake) is easily added on top to help deflect rain.

I would say the color is a dark warm gold, that goes well with bronze, copper, or coffee colored landscape furniture. I bought (white) safflower, (black) nyjer seed, and anti-squirrel chili pepper seed mixes to go with this feeder. Love, love, love it!

This feeder is very nice to look at and the effect with 3 different colored seeds in it is very cool. The construction is solid - metal rather than plastic for the top, bottom, and perches. The perches are quite short compared to some other feeders - about 1.25". It's definitely made for smaller birds. It's got a couple shortcomings, the biggest one being that the tubes are so narrow the inserts for the perches restrict the seed flow. I had medium sunflower chips in it at first and they wouldn't flow down past the inserts. I had to tap on the feeder to get the seed to drop down, which is annoying to do several times per day. The black oil sunflower seeds didn't work at all - they're just too big. I've got small sunflower chips and nyjer in it now and both work fine. The other shortfall is that the bottom perches don't fit quite right onto the bottom piece, making it a chore to put back together after cleaning.
