I bought this feeder because I had been noticing hummingbirds flying around my apartment. They discovered it right away and now I have several regular visitors to the feeder. In fact, they will forgo a much nicer feeder that I bought to replace it. I refill it every few days. Hummingbirds seem to like a simple sugar mix (1 part sugar to 4 parts water) much better than the nectar included with the feeder.
It works very well at attracting hummingbirds.

I hate to give this item a single star without ever having actually used it, but if it can ship to me missing the bottom/reservoir (a fairly integral part), it can ship to anyone that way. So I won't say don't buy it, but if you are ordering it through Amazon, make sure nothing is time sensitive about it (e.g., planning to give it as a Christmas gift).
