I live in Miami. Here is the complete description of the installation of my In-house Panoramic Feeder: I opened the window, slid the bird feeder in place, and shut the window. That's it! It looks like a custom installation. It fits perfectly in the window and is a very attractive addition to the room. I put it in my study next to my computer so I can look up birds on the computer as they come to the feeder. In less than three weeks I had birds eating from the feeder. And with the mirrored petition I can get within one inch of them - nose to beak. So far I have only had two kinds of birds: mourning doves and blue jays. But later in the year when birds begin migrating down from the north, I hope to get greater variety. So far I haven't gotten a lot of birds but everyday I see a few birds. If you want a new birdfeeder experience, I recommend the Coveside Mirrored Window Feeder. The feeder is solidly constructed of quality materials and is easy to install. It takes a few days for some birds to build up the "courage" to go into the feeder, but once they do, you can get face to face with them because they cannot see you. I had read of problems with rainwater leaking in, but we had heavy rains and there was no leakage. My kids and I have enjoyed this feeder.

This bird feeder fits nicely in our kitchen window. It attracts birds but mostly chipmunks. It has provided hours of entertainment for my cats. I even have a cat this sits on top of the feeder to look out the window.
