Protect suet from weather, squirrels and starlings. We highly recommend this suet feeder because itâ?TMs squirrel and big bird proof. The overhanging roof protects the suet from foul weather. Only small songbirds will enter the 1-1/2 inch mesh guard fencing. It holds two cakes, so refills last longer. Excellent squirrel protection. Galvanized steel roof and base. Two cake capacity. Please note: Hanger is different than it appears in the picture. The hanger is now a vinyl-coated wire cable with a slide that keeps the top securely closed. 10 inch hanger, the feeder measures 14 x 8 inches.

I recommend this model. The site doesn't make it clear but the product is completely round in design. It looks great and is worth the investment. Until recently, I had the Suet Palace which was suppose to be Starling proof, but those pesky Starling found their way in the feeder and cleaned me out of my homemade suet. Now, the Double Oversized, large design makes it impossible for the Starlings to enter because of the 14 inch round design.

Oh, I feed Eastern Buebirds who can freely enter this feeder.
