Goldfinches will feed upside-down but House Finches won't. Ports are positioned below the perches to deter House Finches and House Sparrows. Small sized holes dispense Nyjer economically. Birds must pull seed out. Powder coated zinc die cast top and base - to last a lifetime. The sloped base keeps seed within easy reach of the birds. The UV stabilized polycarbonate seed tube won't degrade in the sunlight. Caps lift off easily to allow re-filling and thorough cleaning and the design of the cap makes it difficult for predators to lift and reach the seed. Your feeders can be hung or pole mounted using Droll Yankees Ultimate Pole System. Cleaning..Please, for the sake of the birds keep your feeders clean. Wash regularly in a 50/50 solution of hot water and white vinegar, rinse thoroughly and refill when completely dry. Dirty feeders spread disease. Seed or Feed Options: Nyjer Seed. The goldfinches love it. Just like the picture shows it. Well built, quality product. Holds a good batch of seed and the bird's antics trying to get the seed is priceless entertainment.

This is a very unique finch feeder but WAY too large for me. We received it as a Christmas present and did not think about the size of the product at the time. We now realize we can not put it in the tree where we want it as it will be too close to the ground; it will cost considerably more to fill it; and keeping it clean and the food mold free would be quite difficult for us.

I would like to return it but don't have any of the invoice or packing information because it has all been discarded.

Please advise.
