Droll Yankees DAM Double Arm Mount and Hanger

This double arm mount and hanger provides an excellent method for hanging two bird feeders on the Shepherd's Envy pole. The parts are galvanized powder coated steel and have a lifetime warranty. The hanger is identical to the one that is furnished with the purchase of the pole and it has the locking device to secure the bird feeder. Both hangers fit into the double arm mount which is inserted into the pole top. The arms can make a very attractive appearance. Unfortunately the double arm mount fits into the pole all loosey goosey. Everything swings and sways like Sammy Kaye especially with any kind of breeze or wind. That is the reason I deducted the one star. Having said that, it is possible to use shims to reduce the wobble of the double arm mount. It used to be that manufacturers had quality control inspectors to detect flaws such as the undersized double arm mount. Droll Yankees makes some fine products but also some that are very lame. Another well made product from Droll Yankee. The hangar clip locks on to the feeder to prevent mishaps due to squirrels and wind. The product is made of heavy duty powder coated steel which will last for years. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the double arm mount has some play in it when attached to the pole. Not really an issue but not perfect.
