Need a larger capacity domed cage feeder? The 10" diameter enclosure features black wire that has 1-1/2" openings, allowing songbirds easy entrance while keeping squirrels out. The broad 14-3/4" cover keeps rain and snow off the 2-1/2 quart capacity feeder whether you hang or pole mount it. A spring clamp holds the cover firmly in place against the wire cage. Easy to fill and clean.

It's important to know that while this may keep out squirrels, it WON'T keep out those "thug" birds.

I hung this feeder out today, because my local bird store told me it would keep out larger birds. Well, the grackles just love it. They've been hanging on it all day. Their long beaks easily reach through the cage to get the seed, and they've been jealously guarding it as their personal food source all morning. Sorry songbirds!

Droll Yankees is just about the best feeder system for wild birds that you can buy and this cage feeder is proof of this, the construction and ease of cleaning are great and the birds love the security when they feed.

This feeder has performed just as described. It keeps out the larger birds in our area and easily allows only the smaller birds to feed. It is beautifully made, and the dome is perfect for protecting the seed from our winter rains. The outer cage is easy to remove for cleaning without any need to bend anything.
