Duncraft's Create-a-Haven feeder cage turns your existing tube feeder into a squirrel resistant sanctuary for songbirds. The Havenguard fencing creates a barrier that holds squirrels too far back to reach the seed and has openings too small for large birds to enter. The fencing provides perching for many birds to feed at once, providing constant activity, bird song, and vibrant color. The plastic coated metal fencing deters unwanted guests such as pigeons, grackles, and squirrels. Smaller birds are allowed to feed in peace. The caging fits all flat topped tube feeders up to 18-inch tall. The wire base keeps seed from collecting and attracting squirrels and is opened with an easy to use spring latch. Because your wire feeder hanger fits through the openings in the cage's top, there's no need to purchase any extra parts. The design of the unit's base facilitates fast cleaning and the metal cage prevents damage from squirrels and beaks.

Good idea to squirril proof your feeder, but because of the design, the squirrils simply jump on displacing the feeder off to one side. Then they just eat your bird food. I am still trying to figure a way to keep the feeder in the center of the cage.

Easy to install and has kept squirrels away from a Droll Yankee Tube Feeder. Somewhat awkward when refilling feeder.

I am very happy with this. I did need to use it a little differently than illustrated for it to work so well though. I inserted my feeder with the opening at the same end as the cage opening. So the cage hangs with it's opening at the top, you open that and the then take the top off the feeder to fill it up. This works great and is quick and easy to fill. I did tie the bottom of the feeder to the bottom of the cage so it does not swing back and forth (thus not spilling seed) inside the cage if the squirrels jumped on it. The squirrels have stopped even trying to get into my feeders now. I would have given it 5 stars except that I had to use it a bit differently than intended. I recommend this!
