Holds four full-sized suet cakes A customer who lives near our location here in Concord inspired us to create this feeder especially for Pileated woodpeckers. Having several Pileateds at her smaller suet feeders, she requested that we make one with a much longer tail prop and more clinging room on the suet cage for these amazing 16 to 19-1/2 inch marvels! When we completed the design changes, we naturally asked her to test this new feeder,and she graciously accepted. So, when our woodpecker-loving neighbor told us she found great success with this new design--we knew we had a hit! Crafted of white pine with vinyl coated steel suet cages, can also be used to contain nesting material for spring birds.
