My finch feeder is filled with finches as in the picture. The finches keep me busy filling it. I am so very happy to see soo many finches in one spot eating frantically. The spring will be beautiful when they show their bright yellow color. However, beware of the quality of this feeder. It is described as copper. It is not copper. The copper shown in the description is light plastic - only copper in color - so it is copper colored plastic only. I paid more money for this "copper" feeder because I thought it might be a better quality and a little heavier. It is not heavy at all and is made of light plastic. Just know that you are not buying copper. I've written to the company responsible but to no avail. Amazon did not seem to be too interested in my complaint either.

I am an avid bird watcher and amateur photographer and I got this feeder in January 2010. Recently I was able to get a photo of this feeder filled with 24 Goldfinches,with a 25th one trying to find a spot to perch. Since I had so many other Goldfinches in my yard at the time, I started to wonder what it would be like to hang a second feeder alongside the first, and get a photo with all 48 perches filled. I ordered my second feeder a couple of weeks ago. So far I've counted 32 Goldfinches at the two feeders, but again, there were so many other Goldfinches in the yard at the time that I'm SURE I'll get my shot with all 48 perches filled. The Goldfinches just love this feeder and it's fun to watch them all coming in to it. I would recommend this feeder to anyone who loves to watch birds. The ONLY problem I have with this feeder is that the top feeding port is very close to the top of the feeder. I top this feeder off every day before I put it out, and sometimes go out mid-day to top it...Read more

I have had this feeder for a couple years now and the finches seem to love it. I have had up to 23 on it at once and it was really a neat sight. I can't wait for the finches to turn gold so they really will light up my backyard!
