5.0 out of 5 stars WINDOW BIRD WATCHING MADE EASY!!!, September 22, 2006

This is one of 7 feeders that I have at my home NOTHING relaxes me and perks me up more than seeing all the colorful birds around my home. When I saw this one at it's incredible price, I had to give it a shot. It mounted to the window in about 30 seconds-I filled it with finch food, and had a purple finch perched and eating an hour later! What a thrill to be cleaning house, at the computer or relaxing in my recliner, and to be able to look out of our big, bay window and see the goldfinches and other birds perched. NEGATIVES: Perch is a LITTLE on the "flimsy" side, but no one's fallen off yet. Doesn't come with instructions - I could see this being a problem for someone unfamiliar with feeders. Other than that? Good job, once AGAIN, to Garden Song!

3.0 out of 5 stars This bird feeder does the trick!, May 1, 2007

This is a pretty good feeder. I've had it up for a few days and the birds are already enjoying it.

Note that the suction cup attachment is a separate piece from the actual feeder - the feeder kind of hangs onto it. So, if you're looking for a feeder that is easy to remove and fill, this is it. However, if you need something that can withstand a strong wind and rainstorm, I'm a little skeptical - although it hasn't fallen yet!

5.0 out of 5 stars My poor bald redbird!, April 28, 2009

This review is from: Garden Song 101-4 Dine Around Window Bird Feeder (Lawn & Patio)
Who knew that cardinals could go bald? Well, they can! I watched my proud red friend go from glorious to pitiful in a couple of months! I didn't even know they were territorial. But they are. This is his feeder. And his wife's! (Her name's Katie.) He boldly perches on the feeder, but she's a little cautious, prancing on the windowsill instead. No matter. He showers her with seeds! I love to see him with the morning sun on him, singing with his mouth full!

Oh, and other birds, too! Purple and house finches, goldfinches (Well, greenfinches -- I never seem to see them in their breeding plumage.) siskins, chickadees, titmice, various sparrows (on the windowsill, mopping up, not on the feeder). Even a woodpecker! Who knew?

For people who have trouble with it not sticking, just be sure the window glass is clean, and wash the suction cups with soap and water before applying. It should stay put unless a squirrel hops on it.
