This is the second one I've purchased, due to the overflow of birds on the first one! The chains are "cheap" and the feeder hangs a bit crooked, but the birds don't care! They won't eat from my "tube" style feeders, but this hanging tray feeder is never "birdless" until it is empty! It's great for birders and people who care about wildlife but are on a budget, as it attracts birds without investing in fancy, expensive feeders.
Birds don't seem to understand there's food in this feeder,

Three weeks after hanging this feeder, I've yet to see a bird feeding from it. I also place loose food on a small outdoor table and the birds flock to it ever day. Maybe they don't bother with the feeder because the food is easier to get to on the table? I don't know, but they just ignore the hanging feeder.

Came as described, Hangs straight. Looks way better than our plactic platform feeder. Perfect size for us but if your looking for a large feeder this is not for you.
