I've had 4 of these for at least 6 years. I really like them.
What I like about them: they are easy to move about; just unclamp, move, then re-clamp. The planted baskets are high enough that you can tend to them and see them well, yet let them drain outside the railing. They look good and never need painting. The hold up to heavy winds and storms.
What I don't like about them: If your plant baskets are very heavy, the metal bar will bend - and stay bent. The clamps can get rusted in the weather (so I used a lubricant spray on them a lot). Heavy baskets will twist and tilt the railing board outwards and you have to hammer it back down (I used deck screws to solve that problem).
I would buy them again. In fact, I'm buying 3 more.

great product, very sturdy and secure; easy to attach to patio railing. Is holding a very large fern - and it is solid and secure.
Exactly as advertised,

This hook is sturdy enough to hold a heavy hanging plant, and it's easy to attach to the overhang of a deck rail. What more could you ask for? I saw a similar hook in a local home improvement store for less...and thought "grrrrr"... until I realized that it wasn't nearly as thick and sturdy. Good quality is worth the price.
