I purchased this product to nail to a tree for a squirrel that doesn't get to eat any seeds or nuts I leave on my porch due to another squirrel being a hog. The other squirrel now feeds from this feeder. This feeder holds the nuts and seeds nice due to the tray base. I could also put food inside the nester part...but I prefer to put out a little food everyday for the squirrel. I guess if it gets really cold, the squirrel could go inside the nesting part as it is large enough.

The price was great here on Amazon. I found this same item for much more on other pet websites.
