At first the hummers looked confused, but they've already figure it out, and it's only been about three hours. I especially like the color of the fancy fuchsia feeders--the color sets off the red, white, blue, and purple...Read more 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: HummZinger Fancy Fuchsia (Lawn & Patio) I've had one of these for about 2 years and just bought a second one because I want another feeder. Its so easy to clean compared to others I've had and popular with the hummingbirds. I'm getting a second one so they don't have to argue so much about who it belongs to. You have to keep the ant trap full of water for best effect but it definitely slows them down. I don't think anything is fool proof for ants. It holds enough sugar water so that I don't have to refill it constantly but not so much that I have to throw much out (during peak season) to keep it fresh. And I love the fuchsia color instead of the usual orangey colors feeders usually come in. Easy to assemble and stays on the hook despite the wind. Highly recommended! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: HummZinger Fancy Fuchsia (Lawn & Patio) This is a super easy humming bird feeder to clean! One of my pet peeves about the majority of feeders is that they are so difficult to really clean without all sorts of brushes, tooth picks, etc. I LOVE that my humming birds can actually perch while they feed! It's such a joy to see them sit and eat! The one downside to this one, is the ants. I didn't purchase the mesh that was an option as I don't have an issue with ants on my feeders. I did, however, have an issue with this one! I put it on my shepherd's hook where my other one was and within hours, I had big black ants all over it, in it...you name it. I decided to move this feeder to under my farmer's porch (right on the edge where I would normally hang a plant) and I've had no trouble with ants since and it's been there all season! So I guess location is everything! |
