I have a whole wall of glass and a yard full of bird feeders, so I would know. As advertised, they do need to be replaced at 18 months. At exactly 18 months I started having strikes again. They get the "truth in advertising" award. I do appreciate a product that doesn't try to snooker me into buying more often than really necessary. 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Maple Leaf Window Decal-Save Wild Birds! I have been using these decals for years. Just change every year to 18 months. The first ones I bought didn't seem to work until I talked to the local bird store owner. These decals should be placed on the "outside" of the glass in order to work properly. I hate the sound of bird colliding with the glass - sometimes they fly away, other times not, but these seem to help a lot. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Maple Leaf Window Decal-Save Wild Birds! I have had trouble with bird strikes and tried a variety of things such as moving feeders/bird baths away from windows, and making sure that the arrangement of houseplants and furniture did not allow birds to "see through" the house and make them think there was a safe passage through. This helped, although I would still get strikes on bright sunny days. These decals have helped for those strikes on sunny days where the birds seem to be confused by the glare from the sun or reflection of the sky in the windows. Most people will have to try a few different strategies to figure out what works for their situation. These decals appear to prevent strikes on sunny days and you will need several decals for each window. |
