Summary: Didn't live up to the hype 2010-09-03
Comment: We have a nice mixed population of birds around, including up to a dozen cardinals. I picked up this feeder, figuring its design would favor our favorites. Some cardinals did perch on it, along with other birds, but its design is ill-suited for a typical Costco seed mix with sunflower seeds. The birds have to work hard to get seed out, pecking through the chain sides. I hang 2 feeders side by side. After three days, this one's almost full, while the other's been refilled daily. Plus, pigeons have no trouble perching on it and feasting.
I'd suggest that users not use sunflower mixes in it.

Summary: great feeder 2010-08-10
Comment: better then the first one they came out with, this one keeps the seeds in the feeder, not on the ground. also the rain doesn't get the seeds wet, but the raccoons and bears like it, so we bring in at night. Maine beautiful but high taxes...

Summary: .Cardinal Feeder But No Takers 2010-05-15
Comment: This feeder was easy to put together however none of the cardinals are using it! We have many feeders and the birds just ignore this one. We have tried putting the feeder on different trees since we have elven feeders scattered around our front and back yard but still no cardinals going near this feeder.
It's a good size and holds lots of seed but no takers for the feeder as yet. We continue putting fresh seed in it each day but if no takers come soon I guess we can use it as a planter!!!

Summary: Great Durable Feeder 2010-04-18
Comment: While this feeder won't keep squirrels away, it's sturdy construction definitely stands up to their punishment. We have both red and gray squirrels in our yard and this is the one feeder that will outlast them. Filled with black oil sunflower seeds and sunflower kernels, just this last week we've seen cardinals, chickadees, titmice, red-winged blackbirds, grackles, nuthatches, goldfinches, red bellied woodpeckers, and downy woodpeckers all enjoying this feeder. It is by far the most popular in the yard. Definitely would recommend.

Summary: squirrels love it! 2010-04-17
Comment: Beautiful feeder but the birds never got near it...the top "squirrel" shield was a stopping off place for the furry critters.
I'd suggest that users not use sunflower mixes in it.
