Others said birds couldn't get seeds out and didn't use the feeder. We have lots of birds using this feeder at all times and I once counted 10 birds on it at the same time. Some cling to the wires and others sit on the perch to eat. The top has kept the snow and rain off of it and it holds a ton of seeds at one time (not filling it as much). Also the squirels have yet to destroy it unlike many other feeders we have had.
