I have used this feeder for several years. It holds about 10 pounds of seeds, is easy to fill and protected from the elements by the cover, which also protects the feeding birds. Do not take it apart as it is not easy to reassemble. Can be cleaned with hose from the filler holes.
The problem is that to prevent the squirells from getting at it, it must be mounted on a pole with a baffle. This makes it rather difficult to refill because lifting the feeder with over 10 pounds of feed and securing it high up is not easy. In addition I built a wire cage around the feeder to prevent larger birds such as Blue Jays from hogging the feeder. It worked great and the largest birds feeding were Grossbeaks. The blue jays had to be satisfied with their daily peanut serving.
I bought a second feeder after redoing my whole porch when I discarded the old feeder. This time I have bought a winch system to raise and lower the unit, but I have not yet mounted it, since I have to completely...Read more

I've been using this bird feeder for 4 years now and have not had any of the problems that M. Stewart mentions. You do not remove the top assembly (which supports the tubes) in order to fill the tubes. Read the instructions!! You only remove the top squirrel baffle (NOT the top of the tube support) to expose the rotating funnel. The funnel revolves and aligns over each tube allowing you to easily fill the tubes with bird seed. Very easy. My bird feeder has scores of birds coming to it regularly. I would rate this a 4 1/2 star.
