Really baffles the squirrels,

We bought this product last year, and it has completely kept the squirrels out of the bird feeder. The squirrels cannot figure out how to get to the birdseed, and gave up trying after a week or two. As a bonus, it keeps the birdseed dry and would reduce spoilage, although the birds go through seed so fast there's little likelihood of spoilage in our feeder. This baffle adapts for both pole-mounted and hanging feeders, and we found it so effective we have bought it for relatives who were also troubled by squirrels. There may be better products out there, but for our purposes this one is great.
These work great!,

I have my feeders mounted so squirrels are not a problem but I bought these to use as rain protection for the feeders and birds. I would not mount a tube type feeder without one again. They keep the expensive seed from getting wet and are also good protection from snow. They tilt/swivel in the wind which keeps them from rocking the feeders all over the place. If you are serious about your feeders and birds, try one, I think you will like it and so will your feathered friends. I spray painted the tops of mine silver to help reflect the sun and prolong their life (UV eventually gets to everything).

I bought one of these at a local Menards for $10 back in February, 2011. I should have just set fire to a $10 bill instead. This is nothing more than an expensive over-priced plastic piece of trash. We have these dirty and filthy squirrels here and instead of keeping them off, this only gives a landing pad when jumping, then swinging down to my feeders. I should have saved the $10 I paid for this piece of crap and used it to buy yet another bid feeder to replace yet another one that has been damaged. Save your money and look elsewhere.
