Parasol Bloom Perch Hummingbird Feeder Clear

Recently got this feeder, and the birds seem to like it alot. Really nice looking too. But there is one small problem, that I didn't notice till the birds started feeding. The feeder bracket that holds the glass feeder, comes with 3 perches. The perches are slightly out to far, thus only the adult birds can sit and feed. Smaller birds either have to sit and really lean to get to the nectar, or just hover over the flower and feed that way, which kind of defeats the purpose of having perches. Other than that, i'm glad I purchased the feeder. You also might want to consider getting a wind and rain guard. When it rains, water can easily enter the glass flowers. You can also get glass flowers with a plastic sleeve that keeps out bees, but the flowers they come with, the bees really can't get to the nectar anyway. Good quality feeder, you won't go wrong.

We were immediately attracted to the design of the Parasol Bloom Perch Hummingbird feeder but I was concerned that possibly the perches would be set too far back for such small birds. In fact, my concerns proved unwarranted. Only when the feeder level drops significantly does it become necessary for the hummingbirds to hover while they feed rather than sitting on the perch. We are very pleased with both the design and functionality of the unit which is so much more pleasing to the eye than our former glass bottle feeder with always fading plastic flowers.

This feeder is wonderful! BEAUTIFUL construction! Solid colored glass (not laminated coloring that could peel - including the "flower" feeding stations). Top feeder stations prevent the dripping that occurs with the bottom stopper type feeders. Would absolutely purchase again!
