This bird feeder is the only one I have found that allows seed to remain in every feeding level because of the separated sections and tunnel design for the seed fill. This design allows 12 feeding stations to remain in use. The small tray also gives Cardinals the footing they enjoy when feeding. This would rate five stars except for the ports being plastic instead of metal, so if squirrels can get to the feeder, they are able to destroy the ports. That won't stop me from buying this feeder as the separate levels allow so many birds to feed, but metal ports would make it perfect.

This review is from: Perky-Pet 3221 Grandview Wild Bird Feeder with Tray (Lawn & Patio)
I had success with other Perky-Pet purchases, but this feeded had problems. Where the sides are supposed to be fitted and sealed together, they weren't. It looked OK, but when I started to fill it with seed the sides popped apart & seeds went every direction! (shoddy assembley work by factory) Being fairly handy, I tightened the nuts on the two bolts that pass through the entire assembly on both sides. This closed the gap well enough, but I worry about it holding without a sealant which I could not apply without first trying to remove the original and possibly damaging the product. The metal'perches'have little green plastic covers for you to slip over the metal - however, they are a little too roomy...so when the birds land and take off a few times they work loose and end up on the ground. Also, be aware that when full of seed, this is a HEAVY feeder, so be sure you have a hanger that will support the weight. Larger birds like pigeons will use the base tray as a landing area -...Read more

I love these birdfeeders. I always have 2 hanging at the house. The birds love it too, all kinds. It will feed 12 birds at a time and even the cardinals will feed at this feeder.
