Comment: I luv the design of this very clever, but apparently my squirrels are more clever, the clawed away at the plastic until they make a whole large enough to get the seed!! ugh!!

Comment: These feeders are very poorly made and are not as advertised.They definitely do not keep out squirrels.A complete waste of money.All bread and no meat.You got me on this one.

Summary: Not Gray Squirrel Proof 2010-07-12
Comment: The Squirrel-Be-Gone feeder used to be more sturdily built. However, the current model is made with such flimsy materials that it is no longer squirrel proof. The southern gray squirrels easily bend back the metal leaves exposing the seed. The metal leaves used to be sturdy but now they feel as soft as a piece of lead. This feeder is NOT squirrel proof!

Comment: The squirrels could not only easily figure out how to get to the food in this feeder, but they also can chew right through the plastic! Which makes this product a total waste of money!!!! It might work if they made one out of glass.

Summary: Poor design + poor materials = poor results 2010-07-03
Comment: I was constantly having to fix the feeder after the squirrels would pop a spring or wedge the feeder closed. After 3 weeks, they just chewed holes through the plastic. Obviously there was little or no practical testing leading up to the claim "prevents squirrels from feeding". "Prevents squirrels from feeding", right, only when the seeds are gone.
