The orioles we have had comming to our sugar water feeders for over 15 years could not get any sugar water out of this feeder. They landed on it and immediately left. That is why I returned this item. They have no problem getting nectar from our other feeders.

Don't waste your money buying this feeder. I have been buying oriole feeders every year trying to find one that doesn't leak, is bee proof and is Oriole friendly. This feeder never made it out of my kitchen because of leaking. As soon as I filled it and picked it up the feeder started leaking around the perches which are flimsy and sharp edged. I was worried the orioles would cut their feet and that the perches might not support them. Cheap! Cheap! Cheaply made!

we have been feeding Orioles for 20 years and thought we'd try this feeder. The orioles have to push on the little button inside the hole to get the nectar ---- only saw one bird or so use this and they never came back! they instead, went to my hummingbird feeder. Don't waste your money on this one. The idea to keep bees out was a good idea, but too bad the birds don't like using it.
