I like Hummingbird feeders and like to feed the little critters that use them. However, I am not crazy about cleaning the ones that are hard to take apart. I just like a simple little feeder that gets the food; the food gets eaten; the item gets cleaned; the item gets refilled; the item goes back up. Those are plenty of steps right there. I do not want to add: tried to wrangle pieces apart after feeder was empty; struggled and struggled; threw the dratted thing in the trash to the above steps. The ones I have are just fine. And this feeder complies with those steps. Sometimes I swish it all clean with water. Sometimes I get lazy and throw the whole apparatus in the dishwasher to be cleaned. Doesn't matter. It is quite heavy glass and gets through the dishwaher with red coloring intact. I use two additonal long hooks when I hang it from my tree as my tree is big and I am small. Works just fine. Just got this and set it up outside the window. It was easy to fill and looks like it would be easy to clean. I only have had it for a week but the Anna and Blacked Chinned Hummingbirds in the area have found it and are using it regularly.
I had high hopes but,

am disappointed. The glass bulb is quite nice and looks lovely in my yard. However, when I opened the shipment my first disappointment was that what I thought would be a durable metal top over the red flowered base, was just metal colored thin plastic. Then I inspected the plastic connector which was glued on to the glass top and screws into the plastic base. I was concerned about it holding up. I filled my new feeder several days ago and just took it down to clean and refill, and when I unscrewed the base, already the connector on the glass has come unglued. I guess I'll try to find a better glue and hope I can repair it. If not, this feeder is going back to the store.
