Finally, a large capacity, easily viewed ant moat. We live in a hot climate where ant moat contents evaporate quickly, so this is the perfect solution. Lack of color keeps it from confusing the hummingbirds, too.

I bought this ant moat locally to replace a smaller one that had discolored over the years and whose metal holder had oxidized. This moat is about 3.5 inches deep and nearly four inches across. Filled with water, it makes it difficult if not impossible for ants to travel to the sugar water below. Unfortunately the moat doesn't keep the bees away, but it can't do everything.

We like that small birds enjoy perching on the moat to drink and even bathe. Since the moat is transparent, I've gotten some nice pictures of little bird parts below the water.

With its larger size, this moat is definitely easier to clean than a smaller model.

The ant moat comes with a hanging S hook and is made in the USA in Mexico, MO.

I will not buy any other moat since trying these - the large capacity makes it far superior to all the smaller ones, and in addition, the chickadees, wrens, and finches love to drink from them.
