Product Review

Cedar Upside Down Suet Box Feeder An inexpensive long-lasting way to offer suet in an upside down, starling-and jay-resistant manner. Holds two cakes and is priced right

Product came in timely manner and of good quality. The birds haven't quite figured out how to use it yet. I'm still hopeful.

While this feeder has not totally eliminated the non-tree-clinging birds it has helped a lot. The blackbirds and squirrels were tearing through a suet cake in less than a day with the old style feeder and had gotten around all the barriers I had put up. The blackbirds and squirrels can still get at it, but not nearly as well. And it's entertaining to see a blackbird try to hover underneath to grab small bites. The cardinals do it better. It's also nice that it holds two suet cakes at once, so I don't have to fill it as often. The woodpeckers, titmice, and creepers seem to be happy with it.

I have alot of Blue Jays and starlings around my suet feeder, and this seems to be my answer so they can't gobble the suet cake. I'll know more this winter. It did take awhile for the other birds to find it though.
