Woodstream Corp Squirrel Be Gone Feeder 336 Bird Feeder Specialty

We have this feeder and although things started off looking good, they quickly changed. At first the squirrels would try to feed and the mechanism worked well and the leaves covered the feeding holes. The squirrels left and we thought all was good. Then we noticed they were staying around more. I took a close look at it and guess what, they have chewed the plastic around the feeding hole so that now it is larger than the leaf covers. They can eat to their heart's content. Also, chipmunks do not weigh enough to make the mechanism work. From day one, the chipmunks were able to feast to their hearts content. The idea behind this feeder is good. However they need to put metal around the holes. That would make it more squirrel proof, however, chipmunks could still feast. Don't waste your money on this one, unless the manufacturer starts to put metal around the holes.

This did keep the squirrels out until a couple months after I bought it. Then it broke. Don't buy it. Total waste of money.

Worked fine for about a week then the top latch was chewed and the cage drops and covers the openings.They are smarter than us and I think if I just put enough seed out for everybody I would be ahead of the game.I only have one out of 25 feeders that truly works.
