Received product in a timely manner and exactly as described. I live in an area where 50 to 60 MPH winter winds are common. It appears it would stand up under these kinds of winds. Mine is mounted on a pole because I feel swinging in strong winds would be harder on it.

This is a really well-designed, and well-made feeder. It is very easy to clean. Many birds can use the feeder at the same time. My chipmunks are frustrated with it, because with the grating in place, it is too difficult for them to reach the seeds and stuff their cheeks. My favorite new feeder!
No takers,

I bought 2 of these to put on the ground for my ground feeding mourning doves, chipping sparrows, white-throated sparrows, and in winter the juncos as well. Seems though that none of them can reach to the layer of white millet I spread across the bottom. A chipping sparrow, for example, showed interest, but then walked away b/c it could not get at the seed in the bottom. Each night I was bringing the seed in untouched. When I tried a deeper layer of seed a squirrel plopped his butt on top of the feeder and snorkeled the seed out until it was nearly empty. He also peed on the seed as he sat there. Overall I am not happy with this feeder, it's a good concept to have the grill but the birds are not buying it since the seed is too deep under the grill for them to reach. Maybe the ones that come here are too used to the seed being directly accessible to make the transition. So back I go to putting screening down on the ground and an assortment of logs and branches over them for...Read more
