Wild Bill's 8 Station Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder
- Large seed hopper
- 8 bird-friendly feeding stations
- 10 lb. Capacity
- Top and Bottom Squirrel-Stinger
- 18" High x 15" Diameter
Product Description
This is absolutely the best squirrel proof bird feeder I have ever used. I have three of them at my home. Squirrels get a tiny shock when they attempt to raid the feeder and, believe me, they only try it a couple of times before they give up. They don't get hurt! They just go elsewhere.

Summary: Our second one ... 2009-01-08
Comment: I've had a Wild Bill for over 10 years. The first, the 12 port model, and now an 8 port, which I like much better. The previous reviewer correctly noted that the tree rats will eventually chew through the half moon cutouts at the top, and actually dive in, but that has not happened with the 8 port model. I think because the squirrels will always touch one of the metal conducting posts on the lower level while attempting to chew. I know the battery needs replacing when I see them eating seed with impunity. That's actually a good thing, because after replacing the battery we get to watch them back flipping off the feeder when they get shocked. Expensive, but it works for us, and the seed lasts 80% longer. Hoo-Rah!

Comment: I would suggest you not buy this feeder. Maybe the problems we are having are due to our living in Florida. I am now changing the batteries monthly, without much success. The squirrels actually get into the feeder through two large holes at the top of the feed bin under the roof. This could be because it rains a lot this time of year where we live (wet season). Maybe the wet humid air keeps the unit off a lot. Anyway ours are on there way to the land fill
