Wild Bills Pole Mount Adapter Kit - Mounts on standard 1-1/8 inch id. pole. Includes all necessary hardware to pole mount the feeder. (Pole not included.) The adapter simply screws itself into the bottom of the feeder. The stem of the adapter then slides into your pole for a tight fit. The adapter works best with poles that have a 1.125" inside diameter but it may be filed down to work with poles having a 1 inch inside diameter

I gave the feeder that goes with this pole adapter a bad rating as well. Even if the feeder worked, and the birds didn't get stuck within it, this adapter makes filling the birdfeeder difficult if you remove the whole thing from the pole. And removing the birdfeeder itself from the pole adapter wasn't easy either since it has to be unscrewed. It was slightly larger than the pole that it fit into (one I already had, but a standard size). I give it two stars if you just stick the thing in a pole and leave it there. It does work for that purpose.
