This is a very nice product. The glass is red so you don't have to buy special hummingbird food. just add sugar water. (a lot cheaper in the long run.) Don't forget that you will need something to hang it from.

I was hoping the red would catch their attention, and it did...I've had this for less than a month, and now have THREE hummingbird couples feeding at it! My only gripe is the base of it "screws on" a little oddly; it takes a few tries for it to thread. Not sure if it's just mine, or if others have had this issue.

Although the manufacturer recommends otherwise, I have throw this on the top rack of the dishwasher several times. I do clean out the "flowers" with pipe cleaners first. It's a good idea to re-rinse everything after it comes out of the dishwasher; I don't want to make our winged friends sick from chemicals, but I doubt it would get as clean if it was hand-washed.

Lovely product, that obviously works!
