This baffle works well for those bothered by a multitude of predators seeking out bird seed, namely squirrels and raccoons. So far, we haven't had any problems with either since the installation. The only difficulty we had was that one of the attachment straps broke before even being affixed to the post. My husband improvised, and so far, it has held. The welding on the straps leaves something to be desired, or I'd rate this product higher.

Product is well made, sturdy and attractive. But be careful with the description on Amazon's page. It indicates this is a "brushed copper baffle" giving the impression it is copper material. It is actually painted steel, bronze in color as indicated in the product title. The difference in description between the title and the description in the Product Features area has been made known to Amazon. While I was expecting a copper item, I decided not to return the item received. It was easy to install on an existing square post and looks fine.

We've tried everything from all sorts of baffles, pouches with some strange stuff inside that is supposed to deter squirrels, greasing the poles, extending baffles with a deck of cards glued to it, drawing them off with squirrel feed way far away from the bird feeders, D-Con covered with peanut butter, a BB gun, and even a shotgun. Then we found this larger baffle and installed it. Not a single squirrel has been able to get into the bird feeder, and it has been several months. I wonder how many squirrels' lives have been saved, not to mention our sanity! Thanks soooooo much!
